Ekiti 2018 Election: I have my personal N8bn cash to spend, Presidency promised N20bn, it will be cash-for- cash, Fayemi boasts. -Risingsuntv

Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr Kayode Fayemi has boasted that he can provide enough fund to buy at least 400,000 votes at N20, 000 per vote, disclosing that he had N8 billion his personal fund to spend on the July 14, 2018 governorship election in Ekiti State while a governor has promised him that not less than N20 billion will be provided by the Presidency.
Fayemi, who is the immediate past governor of Ekiti State is being rumoured to be interested in the contesting the governorship election as candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He allegedly met with some leaders of APC in Abuja a few days ago where he assured them of his preparedness to wrestle power from the incumbent governor, Ayodele Fayose at all cost.

One of those who attended the meeting disclosed to our reporter that Fayemi’s was already seeing himself as the candidate of APC and was talking about the election proper, not party primary.
The APC leader, who is from the Southern Senatorial District and obviously supporting an aspirant from Ikere Ekiti quoted Fayemi as saying; "On this July 14 election, Ekiti people should worry less. It will be cash-for-cash.

“As I'm talking to you here, I have N8 billion my personal money to spend while we have assurance that not less than N20 billion will come from the Presidency. N20, 000 per vote for 400,000 votes is just N8 billion, I can afford that personally."
The APC leader, who insisted his name should not be mentioned, expressed his worries on Fayemi’s insistence on contesting the election.

He said he was worried that all the aspirants in the party are just wasting their time and resources because Fayemi pointedly said that he had the governorship ticket in his pocket.

“I was shocked when he (Fayemi) said he has N8 billion to spend on the election. Where did he get such huge amount of money from?

If he is boasting of personally having N8 billion to spend on the election, it means that he should have not less than N15 billion, that is huge!”
